SR-65 climbs from Mountain Dell over Big Mountain Pass — 7,420 feet, and the literal route of the Donner Party, the Mormon pioneers, and the Pony Express, all of whom would have killed for a motorcycle — then flows down past East Canyon Reservoir where SR-66 takes over for the sweeper run into Morgan. It's the closest thing Davis and Morgan counties have to a proper sport-riding loop: good pavement, rhythm corners, water views, and a seasonal gate that makes opening weekend feel like a holiday. Loop home over Trappers and you've had a genuinely great Saturday morning.
