Ogden Canyon is barely wide enough for the river, the road, and the century of history crammed in with them — waterfall on one wall, cabins hanging off the other, and a ribbon of UT-39 winding between. It's not a speed run; the canyon is tight, trafficked, and occasionally features a sightseeing Buick doing 25. It's the *approach* — the six-mile decompression chamber between city and valley that ends at Pineview Dam with Trappers, the Divide, and Monte Cristo all fanning out in front of you. Every great Ogden Valley day starts or ends here. Ride it like the entrance hall it is.
